Protect a tree

To prevent the unauthorized access to the Maple tree file, you can protected it with a password.

• To protect the tree - click Protect in File menu and enter password in Password.

• To remove the password protection - in File menu click Unprotect.

• Allow read-only access - select this check box to allow read-only access to the tree. In read-only mode the following operations are disabled: Save, Save As, Export Branch, Copy Branch, and Send.

• Encrypt data - select this check box if you want to encrypt data in the protected tree.
  
  Note: encryption increases file size and may slow down Open and Save commands. Encrypted tree cannot be opened from the read-only media, such as CD-ROM.
